PAN CRAFTED A NEW SYRINX
to show it off to his lost student.
He began working on the piece after hearing her latest song
about men tearing the world apart. Her beautiful song echoed
with his envy. Pan crafted his composition, pieced together as he plucked
away at her limbs like harp strings. Her screams resounded
through the mountains and Pan swore they were in the key of apology.
Such a lovely tune, he thought, whittling away
at his flute, born of her bones.
